Auburn Christmas - Dec '09

Auburn Council put on a great show at Auburn Central Shopping Centre, with Christmas sing-alongs for young and old, face painting for the kids (actually, not only the kids..) and of course a visit from Santa Clause.

The stage truck was set up in front of the huge Christmas tree, with a colourful “stained –glass” backdrop and MC’ed by the one and only Pete Graham of 2UE.

For a radio announcer, Pete sure spends a lot of time on stage. He is regularly MC for several council events as well as the 2UE outdoor broadcasts and has a long history as the 2WS Breakfast Show host.

Pete produced and hosted Sydney's biggest club production "Jukebox Saturday Night Live" for 18 years.

Pete has also hosted many Carols by Candlelight, so him and Santa needed no introductions.

First up on the Mobile Stage Truck was the incredible “Side by Side”, a fabulous band, bursting with animation and colour.

The group sang all the favourites with mountains of enthusiasm and extaordinary harmonies.

The group comprises Tony Carey, Gillyee Carey, Casey Lally and Eric Roberts.

The Auburn Salvation Army Band was next up - the biggest band yet on the Mobile Stage Truck!

Asha the stage dog made friends between sets.
