How it all began..
as told by TJ Stark
Once upon a time there was an old truck that was tired and sad. He had been neglected for most of his life and people never listened to anything he said. He didn't have any friends to play with and sat rusting away in a dirty junkyard with weeds growing through his chassis.
One day, a boy accidentally kicked his ball into the junkyard and when he climbed the fence to get it back he saw the old truck and ran over to get a closer look. He saw that the truck had sad eyes and he felt sorry for it. He could see that no one took care of him and that he looked very very lonely.
The boy's name was Johnny Woodbrick and he had an idea.
He thought that if he made friends with the old truck, fixed him up and took care of him that he might become happy and people would stop and say "Hey look at that truck - I wish I had a truck like that to play with".
But Johnny's friends all laughed at him and said "no one's going to want to be friends with your truck, you'll never get it looking good".

But this only made Johnny more determined. He began to clean and polish it for weeks. He made a new body for it with old bits of scrap from around the junkyard and soon the old truck looked as good as new.
But Johnny did not stop there, he added all kinds of cool stuff to the truck to make it more special than any other truck ever.
He made a playground inside it so that he and his friends could enjoy all sorts of games and made sure that everyone would hear the excitement for miles around by putting really big speakers on the outside. They were so big that he needed to us the landing gear off an old aeroplane in the junkyard to hold up the speakers.
He even added lights so they could play at night time! And umbrellas to keep the rain out - it even had a lift on the back that you could ride up and down over and over.

When he had finished, one of his friends said "Hey Johnny, do you think that the truck would want to be my friend too?" Johnny replied that anyone could be friends with his truck and this made the old truck very happy indeed.
Very soon, the truck had over 100 friends and was being asked to play with all kinds of people. Now this was fine except that the new truck did not have enough time to play with everyone and Johnny was starting to feel that the truck did not want to play with him as much anymore.
So Johnny set out to make more trucks so everyone could play on them whenever they wanted. And best of all, the trucks would have each other as friends and never be lonely again - even when they were sleeping. He even gave them names such as "Gig Rig" and "Rocky Road".

And so Johnny’s trucks became famous all over the world for bringing fun and enjoyment to thousands of people....
Every now and then Johnny even made some money from hiring the trucks out to people so they could play on them.
Of course, Johnny quickly spent all that money on the trucks again to make sure they always had plenty of new toys on board to entertain the people.
Johnny didn't mind this because deep down he knew that happiness is worth more than money. Some of his friends were still worried about this but Johnny assured them that he would make some real money from them some day.
In the end, the trucks and the people enjoyed themselves for years and years. Johnny even bought that old junkyard just in case he needed spare parts and they all lived happily ever after .
